Vision Through Sounds

Dr. Dena Kay Jones and friends as they present her research on Spanish composer Joaquin Rodrigo. This project was funded in-part by the UTEP Career Enhancement Award (Summer ‘21). The presentation recently had its debut at the Colorado School for the Blind and continues to be prepared for other schools across the United States. A powerful combination of storytelling and music, the program also showcases the professor’s perceptions on what it is “to see.” Lawrence Brown, Christina Ana Jones, and Annie Pennies are the special guests highlighted this evening.

EDICIONES JOAQUIN RODRIGO lands at the Cremona Mondomusica Fair 2022.

Cremona Mondomusica, in Italy, is a fair that welcomes every year the most important luthiers and other manufacturers of quality musical instruments and that reserves a space for the dissemination of the musical repertoire through music publishers.
For the first time a Spanish representation of classical music publishers, all of them from AEDEM, has been present at this important international fair. It has been thanks to the support of the SGAE Foundation, with the collaboration of the National Institute of Performing Arts and Music (INAEM), under the umbrella of the SOUND FROM SPAIN platform. We have had a bright stand where we have been able to exhibit our publications for their dissemination among the interesting specialized public present at the fair.
The experience has been very positive. We publishers have been able to verify that our repertoire and our publications arouse great interest among Italian performers and teachers. We are also grateful to the Italian publishers who have welcomed us with affection, and we hope to be able to repeat it next year.
